The Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs (OIA) is soliciting proposals for the Brown Treesnake (BTS) Control Program. The program funds efforts to prevent the migration of the invasive brown treesnake from Guam to other U.S. jurisdictions, suppress and control the BTS population on Guam, restore native ecosystems, reduce electrical outages caused by the snakes, and ultimately develop the capability to eradicate BTS from Guam. Projects that drive economic growth, ensure reliable and affordable energy, and strengthen national security and regional stability are prioritized.
