Description
Operation Stonegarden (OPSG) is a component of the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) administered by the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS). The program is designed to enhance cooperation and coordination among local, tribal, territorial, state, and federal law enforcement agencies—including U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Border Patrol—to secure the United States’ borders along international routes of ingress. OPSG funds projects that strengthen border security, align with national priorities such as border crisis response and enforcement support, and promote community preparedness and resilience against threats and hazards.
OPSG supports activities across the HSGP’s five mission areas: Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery. Projects may include planning, equipment, training, exercises, and management/administration that directly enhance border security and law enforcement coordination.
