This program funds California-based organizations to assist farmers and ranchers in transitioning agricultural land to organic certification. Funding supports both direct financial aid and technical/business assistance, emphasizing outreach to Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers (SDFRs). The program is part of California’s Climate Smart Agriculture initiative and is designed to expand organic acreage while embedding equity in grantmaking.
