Description
The Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) School of Mathematics offers memberships to mid-to-senior career mathematicians and theoretical computer scientists, enabling them to pursue full-time research in a vibrant and collaborative environment. These memberships provide access to on-campus housing and institutional resources for stays of 2 to 11 months, with most appointments lasting one academic year or term. Members are free from teaching and administrative obligations and are encouraged to engage with the IAS community and participate in academic activities. The program supports research across all areas of mathematics and theoretical computer science, including participation in the annual Special-Year Program, which for 2026–27 focuses on "Conformally Symplectic Dynamics and Geometry."
