--- ## Description This call, part of the Pathways2Resilience (P2R) project, aims to support European regions and communities in developing comprehensive pathways, plans, and innovation portfolios to build climate resilience. The grant funds the co-development of strategies and investment plans to address future climate change risks, supporting activities such as stakeholder engagement, capacity building, communication, and project management. The initiative encourages collaboration with the Mission Implementation Platform (MIP4Adapt) and seeks to mobilise regional ambition, foster knowledge sharing on adaptation innovation, enhance access to adaptation finance, and monitor regional resilience capabilities. --- ## Due Dates - Application opening: May 14, 2025 - Application deadline: August 20, 2025 (12:00 Brussels time) --- ## Funding Amount - Total funding available: €12,810,000 - Expected duration of participation: 18 months - 61 subgrants will be awarded --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be regions or communities in EU Member States (including Outermost Regions) or Associated Countries within [Europe’s biogeographical regions](https://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/figures/biogeographical-regions-in-europe-2). - Eligible applicants (as coordinators) must be legal entities: - Public authorities at NUTS 1, 2, or 3 level, or Local Administrative Units (LAU) - Bodies governed by public law as defined in Article 2.4 of Directive 2014/24/EU - Consortia may include: - Private non-profit bodies - Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as per [EU definition](https://single-market-economy.ec.europa.eu/smes/sme-definition_en) - Applications must clearly define the geographical scope, preferably framed within NUTS and LAU systems. --- ## Application Process - **Pre-selection:** Max 120 applications proceed to evaluation. If oversubscribed, pre-selection is based on country vulnerability and region population, prioritizing the most vulnerable. - **Evaluation:** Applications are reviewed by at least three independent experts on criteria including alignment, scope, stakeholder engagement, justice, need for support, actionability, knowledge sharing, and resource usage.
