--- ## Description The Pantex Cooperative Grant Program, funded by PanTeXas Deterrence, LLC and administered through the Amarillo Area Foundation, provides support to nonprofit organizations and educational institutions serving the 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle. The program is employee-directed, with a committee of Pantex employees reviewing applications and recommending grants. Funding priorities include basic needs (food, clothing, shelter), children and family services, community development, education, financial literacy, and health and wellness. Preference is given to projects that serve or are located in the twelve counties surrounding the Pantex Plant, especially those benefiting multiple priority counties. --- ## Due Dates - April 6, 2026: Application opens - May 1, 2026: Application closes (full application deadline) --- ## Funding Amount - Typical grant awards range from $2,500 to $10,000. - Awards are generally for a single year; actual amounts may vary based on project scope and committee recommendations. --- ## Eligibility To be eligible, applicants must: - Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, a recognized government entity, K-12 public school, community/junior college, state college or university, or faith-based organization with projects benefiting the broader community. - Serve residents within the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle.
