This grant provides pastoral and ministry leaders—clergy, lay leaders, chaplains, and others in recognized pastoral roles in the United States and Canada—with funding and time away from daily responsibilities to undertake in-depth study and research on significant questions related to Christian life, ministry, and church practice. The program seeks to strengthen Christian communities by enabling leaders to explore, reflect, and share insights on challenges and opportunities facing North American faith communities. Projects may result in publications, digital media, public presentations, or other forms of knowledge sharing. Grantees are required to attend a two-day consultation event in January 2027, with travel and lodging covered.
