This grant supports nonprofit organizations undertaking dramatic productions, programs, or publications that reflect the life’s work and values of Paul Green—an acclaimed playwright, humanitarian, and civil rights activist. The Foundation’s mission is to advance human rights, promote Green’s literary legacy, and encourage dramatic art, especially symphonic outdoor drama. Projects should focus on upholding basic human rights, racial equality, and/or the dramatic and literary arts, with particular interest in proposals that combine these elements or use art to illuminate human rights issues. The grant honors Paul Green's legacy as a champion for social justice and innovative theater.
