Description
This opportunity funds the development and pilot implementation of a trusted digital-physical corridor—referred to as the "Silicon Highway"—to secure and accelerate AI supply chains among partner countries. The project will establish a credentialing and provenance platform using cryptographic cargo verification, AI-driven risk assessment, and expedited customs processing. The initial pilot (Phase 1) will focus on Panama, with subsequent expansion (Phase 2) to additional Pax Silica signatories and partner economies. The initiative aims to strengthen global AI infrastructure, semiconductors, and critical minerals supply chains, countering economic coercion and supporting U.S. and allied technology leadership.
The Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs will be substantially involved throughout the project, including planning, implementation, and approval of sub-awardees and key personnel.
