Description

The PEACE Grant, offered by the Community Foundation, is designed to improve 3rd grade literacy rates within the Fredericksburg, VA region and surrounding counties. It supports organizations operating or piloting innovative summer literacy programs that can demonstrate measurable increases in reading and writing performance among third-grade students. The grant seeks proposals with strong instructional design, meaningful student engagement, clear metrics for student growth, and the capacity to deliver outcomes outside of the traditional school day. Projects should be scalable, sustainable, and engage families and community partners to foster lasting academic confidence and success among students.
