This program provides funding to law enforcement agencies, peace officer organizations, and public safety agencies in Colorado to support behavioral health and community partnership initiatives. Eligible projects include counseling and trauma support for peace officers and their immediate families, development and implementation of supportive policies following critical incidents, mental health education and training, peer support programs, co-responder and community-based alternative response models, and establishing networks for behavioral health counseling. The grant aims to enhance officer well-being, resilience, and strengthen partnerships between law enforcement and behavioral health/community-based service providers.
