--- ## Description The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is forecasting a funding opportunity to support research focused on establishing and validating central nervous system (CNS) pharmacodynamic measures as tools to enable psychiatric medication trials in adolescents. The initiative aims to improve dosing strategies and safety in pediatric clinical trials by developing and refining CNS tools and models, such as EEG, fMRI, digital health measures, or cognitive assessments. Studies exploring the relationship between dosing, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in children and adolescents with serious mental illnesses are encouraged. The overarching goal is to enhance the effectiveness and safety of pediatric psychiatric drug development by providing robust pharmacodynamic measures and associated models.
