Description
This opportunity funds four regional Pediatric Disaster Care Centers of Excellence (PEDs COEs) to enhance the nation’s ability to provide coordinated pediatric care during disasters and public health emergencies. The program aims to address gaps in pediatric disaster preparedness by establishing regional hubs that coordinate expertise, planning, education, training, and surge capacity for pediatric patients. Supported activities include developing disaster care capabilities, strengthening preparedness plans, enhancing medical surge capacity, delivering standardized training, and improving situational awareness and readiness metrics for pediatric disaster care.
