    Description

This opportunity, offered by the Dept. of the Army through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP), funds the Lifestyle and Applied Health Research Award under the Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP). The award supports clinical research and/or clinical trials that utilize disciplines such as occupational science, psychology, biostatistics, epidemiology, surveillance, implementation science, and population health. Projects must address one of the FY26 PRMRP congressionally directed topic areas and align with a PRMRP strategic goal, with direct relevance to military health.

The intent is to promote evidence-based, patient-centered approaches to improve health and disease-related outcomes, emphasizing nonpharmacological therapies or noninvasive devices. Research should aim for near-term impact on patient quality of life and must integrate a patient advocate as a key team member. Animal research and trials involving pharmacological interventions or implantable/attached devices are not eligible.
