--- ## Description The Periodontics Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is a three-year, full-time specialty program aimed at preparing dentists for advanced careers in clinical periodontics, research, and academic teaching. The program emphasizes comprehensive training in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal diseases, with an integrated focus on the relationship between periodontal and systemic health. Residents gain extensive hands-on surgical experience in both periodontology and implantology, using state-of-the-art techniques and technology. The residency also provides robust resources for clinical care, education, and research, and supports resident wellness and work/life balance. Apply through the [ADEA Postdoctoral Application Support Service (ADEA PASS)](https://www.adea.org/pass/). 2. Register with the [Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program](https://natmatch.com/dentres/applicants/index.html) (National Matching Services). 3. Submit all required application materials by August 1 of the year prior to intended program start. 4. Selected applicants will be invited for an in-person interview at Mayo Clinic in October or November. 5. The academic year begins in July.
