The Personnel Awards for Black Scholars, offered by the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada in partnership with Brain Canada, are designed to increase the representation of exceptional Black researchers in the fields of heart and brain health across Canada. These awards provide multi-year salary stipends to Black students accepted to or enrolled in master’s or doctoral programs at Canadian institutions. The goal is to remove financial barriers, enabling recipients to focus on their studies, undertake impactful research, and engage in mentorship for training and career development.
