Description
The Cornell Center for Enervating NeuroImmune Disease supports pilot research on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). Funded through Cornell University and the NIH-funded Cornell ME/CFS Center award (U54AI178855), the program aims to grow ME/CFS research at Cornell and foster new collaborations. Applications from new investigators and trainees, including graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, are particularly encouraged.
The program supports research expenses, core facility charges, and non-faculty personnel for pilot studies. It encourages collaborations with current Cornell ME/CFS researchers and considers the potential for subsequent extramural funding. The Center’s broader mission is to identify ME/CFS causes, biomarkers, and pathophysiology to advance prevention and effective treatments.
