Description
The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) anticipates funding new providers to administer the Placement and Coordination (PC) program. The initiative aims to diversify the pool of organizations delivering refugee resettlement services and intensive case management, with a particular focus on applicants not currently implementing the Program of Initial Resettlement (PIR).
PC providers will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and placing refugee case profiles assigned by ORR
- Conducting outreach to identified U.S. ties and confirming placement locations
- Serving cases directly or placing them with local resettlement providers (LRPs)
- Overseeing initial resettlement services for 30–90 days post-arrival (e.g., airport pickup, housing, benefits, cultural orientation)
- Delivering intensive case management (ICM) for individuals with significant vulnerabilities for 6–24 months, depending on needs
The program supports innovative approaches and perspectives to strengthen the national framework for refugee resettlement.
