Description
This Horizon Europe Innovation Action funds research and development of portable, versatile point-of-care (PoC) diagnostic devices that enable rapid, accurate, and user-friendly testing at the site of patient care. The call focuses on addressing technical challenges—such as sensitivity, specificity, ease of use, miniaturization, biocompatibility, mass production, high-throughput readiness, and environmental sustainability—while ensuring clinical relevance and regulatory compliance. Proposals should be driven by a clear clinical need, integrate value-based and health technology assessment concepts, and include comparative studies and clinical validation in line with EU regulatory requirements (IVDR/MDR). Solutions suitable for resource-limited settings and leveraging digital/mobile technologies, including AI-powered analysis, are particularly encouraged.
