Description
This European Commission Horizon Europe Innovation Action funds projects that develop and demonstrate sustainable and digital strategies for middle and small-sized maritime and inland ports across the EU. The goal is to enhance port competitiveness, climate resilience, safety, and biodiversity, while reducing greenhouse gas, air, and water pollutant emissions. Projects must identify and deploy innovative technologies, design integrated smart energy systems, develop climate adaptation measures, harmonize digital standards for emission monitoring, and address cybersecurity, workforce development, and financial models. Demonstrations are required in at least six geographically balanced TEN-T ports. This call is part of the European Partnership on Zero Emission Waterborne Transport (ZEWT) and aligns with the EU Green Deal and Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy.
