The Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) School of Mathematics offers competitive memberships for mathematicians and theoretical computer scientists at all career stages, from recent Ph.D. graduates to senior scholars. Members are provided with resources such as office space, access to IAS facilities, subsidized housing, and a collaborative research environment for periods ranging from two to eleven months. The program supports full-time, independent research free from teaching or administrative obligations. Approximately 85 memberships are awarded annually, spanning multiple categories including postdoctoral, mid-career, senior, joint, and special-year program memberships.
