--- ## Description The U.S. Mission to Malaysia, through its Public Diplomacy Section, invites proposals for initiatives that advance American leadership, prosperity, and security interests in Malaysia. The program seeks to fund projects that promote U.S. technological innovation, economic competitiveness, sports diplomacy, alumni network engagement, American English language education, and efforts to counter malign influence and promote free speech. Projects should demonstrate clear alignment with U.S. national interests, measurable outcomes, and sustainable impact beyond the grant period. The program encourages engagement with influential Malaysian stakeholders to amplify U.S. standards and values. --- ## Due Dates - April 30, 2026: Submission cutoff for April review cycle (proposals received April 1–April 30) - May 31, 2026: Submission cutoff for May review cycle (proposals received May 1–May 31) - June 30, 2026: Submission cutoff for June review cycle (proposals received June 1–June 30) - July 31, 2026: Final application deadline—rolling acceptance through this date (proposals received July 1–July 31) Applications are reviewed monthly, with responses typically sent within two weeks of each review cycle's close. --- ## Funding Amount - Award range: $10,000 to $150,000 per project - Total available funding: up to $500,000 (pending availability) - Expected number of awards: approximately 25 - Project duration: 12 to 24 months - No cost sharing or matching required --- ## Eligibility Eligible applicants include: - U.S. and foreign-based nonprofits (with or without 501(c)(3) status), including think tanks and civil society organizations - Public and private educational institutions - Public International Organizations and governmental institutions - Individuals (for specific categories) - Other eligible organizations as outlined in the program statement **Note:** Organizations must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and be registered in SAM.gov.
