This award supports promising postdoctoral research fellows in cystic fibrosis (CF) as they transition into independent research faculty positions. The program is designed to provide up to five years of combined support: up to three years during postdoctoral training (Phase I), followed by two years supporting independent research as new faculty (Phase II). The aim is to help awardees refine their research skills, develop independence, and initiate impactful CF research programs. Projects may be at the sub-cellular, cellular, animal, or patient level, and should address key knowledge gaps or develop new approaches relevant to CF pathogenesis or treatment.
