Summary: A two-year residential postdoctoral fellowship supporting early-career scholars conducting research in private law at Harvard Law School.
This fellowship is a two-year, full-time, residential postdoctoral program at Harvard Law School, designed to support and advance early-career scholars with a primary interest in private law. Private law encompasses traditional common law subjects (property, contracts, torts), adjacent statutory areas (intellectual property, commercial law), and resurgent or emerging fields (unjust enrichment, restitution, equity, remedies). Fellows dedicate their time to independent scholarly research and are expected to contribute to the intellectual life of the Project on the Foundations of Private Law and the broader Harvard Law School community. Activities include mentoring students, participating in workshops and events, presenting research, and blogging. Fellows may also have the opportunity to teach a seminar in the second year of their appointment.
