Description
The Pre-Apprenticeship in Career Education (PACE) Grant Program FY2027 Round 1 aims to expand and strengthen pre-apprenticeship pathways for New Jersey residents, especially those who are underrepresented, disadvantaged, or low-skilled. The program funds organizations to deliver industry-aligned training, hands-on learning, and wraparound support services (e.g., stipends, childcare, transportation), with the goal of preparing participants for entry into Registered Apprenticeship programs, employment paying $17/hour or more, or post-secondary education. PACE emphasizes partnerships with Registered Apprenticeship sponsors and employers, ensuring that training aligns with labor market needs and that participants have clear pathways to quality career opportunities.
