--- ## Description This grant funds a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) to develop a comprehensive European research and innovation roadmap for submarine cable infrastructures. The aim is to enhance EU leadership, resilience, and sustainability in submarine cable connectivity by fostering collaboration among authorities, industry, academia, and research organizations. The project will identify critical hardware and software needs, assess research investment priorities, and propose an industry-driven strategic agenda (SRIA) for future submarine cable systems. The scope covers enabling technologies, secondary uses (such as pre-warning systems for natural hazards), and innovations in areas like multi-core fibre, digital signal processing, oceanographic sensors, network management, and underwater robotics.
