Key Information: Minimum three co-PIs from at least three T-AP countries, including both sides of the Atlantic, required.
This grant, offered through the Trans-Atlantic Platform (T-AP) and coordinated by the Research Council of Finland, funds collaborative research projects in the social sciences and humanities focused on preparing societies for future transitions. The initiative aims to strengthen society’s ability to anticipate, understand, and respond to uncertainty and emerging challenges by supporting interdisciplinary, transnational teams. Research topics may include sources and communication of uncertainty, crisis perspectives, coordination of response strategies, and normative inquiries into crisis prevention and preparedness. Projects must be international in scope, involving partners from both Europe (including Finland, the Netherlands, Poland, Germany) and the Americas (Canada, Brazil), and Africa (South Africa).
