Description
Preparing for Tomorrow is the Trans-Atlantic Platform for the Social Sciences and Humanities’ fifth international funding call. The Research Council of Finland supports Finnish teams participating in joint transatlantic projects. The call funds innovative research that advances conceptual, empirical and normative understanding of how societies envision, prepare for and respond to uncertain futures.
Projects should generate knowledge supporting resilient, inclusive and forward-looking strategies and informing policy and practice at local, national and international levels. The scope encompasses uncertainty, historical and cultural perspectives on futures and crises, coordinated response strategies, and normative questions about crisis prevention and preparation. Research may use disciplinary or interdisciplinary approaches, including qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, historical and future-oriented methodologies.
