--- ## Description The ALS Association's Prevention Grants program is designed to advance translational science, interventions, and tools that can prevent or delay the onset of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Launched in 2022, this initiative prioritizes research that moves beyond basic discovery, focusing instead on validating findings and translating them into actionable strategies for risk reduction and early intervention. Projects may address the causes and risk factors of ALS, develop predictive tools, or propose interventions—pharmaceutical, behavioral, ecological, or clinical—aimed at preventing ALS before symptoms emerge.
