The University of Wisconsin Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship is a one-year, ACGME-accredited training program for primary care physicians interested in specializing in sports medicine. The fellowship is designed to provide comprehensive clinical education and hands-on experience treating a broad spectrum of sport- and exercise-related injuries and conditions in patients of all ages. Fellows also receive mentorship in research and teaching, preparing them to become academic leaders in sports medicine. The program offers opportunities to work with multidisciplinary teams and support collegiate athletics, with individualized flexibility for clinical, teaching, and research pursuits. Upon completion, fellows are eligible to sit for the Certification of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Sports Medicine.
