--- ## Description This program funds demonstration projects aimed at preventing youth homelessness through primary prevention strategies. The focus is on serving youth and young adults (ages 12–26) at high risk of homelessness, housing instability, or victimization (including those transitioning out of foster care, juvenile justice, or behavioral health systems). Projects must implement or improve cross-system collaboration and engage youth with lived experience in both design and implementation, including establishing local youth advisory boards. Primary prevention strategies may include universal interventions (e.g., community-wide poverty reduction, anti-violence efforts, early childhood supports) and targeted interventions for at-risk populations.
