Description
This funding opportunity, offered by the Chesapeake Bay Trust in partnership with Prince George’s County Department of the Environment, is designed to strengthen the technical and organizational capacity of community-based organizations and nonprofits developing Resilience Hubs. These hubs are community-serving facilities that support climate resilience by providing resources, education, and emergency support, especially during disruptive events such as flooding, extreme heat, or power outages. The grant aims to foster a robust, peer-supported network of Resilience Hubs aligned with county-wide climate action, equity, and sustainability goals, as articulated in the County’s Climate Action Plan and Plan 2035.
Applicants may propose to:
- Provide technical and organizational support to individual Resilience Hubs.
- Develop and coordinate a countywide peer-to-peer Resilience Hub Network.
