Description
This opportunity provides funding to support state, local, and tribal correctional agencies and facilities in their efforts to prevent, detect, and respond to sexual abuse and sexual harassment, as well as to implement the National Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Standards. The program aims to further the U.S. Department of Justice’s mission to uphold the rule of law, keep communities safe, and protect civil rights. Funding is specifically intended to advance PREA compliance and address sexual safety in correctional environments.
