Description
This program, led by la Caixa Foundation in collaboration with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, aims to enhance the capacity of health research institutions based in Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOP: Angola, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde, and São Tomé and Príncipe). The initiative focuses on fostering collaboration between university-based research centers and local health institutions, supporting clinical and scientific projects, and building research management skills. It also offers training for health professionals, encourages evidence-based clinical improvements, and stimulates participation in national and international research networks. The goal is to drive sustainable improvements in healthcare outcomes and research infrastructure across PALOP countries.
