Description
This program, led by the la Caixa Foundation in partnership with organizations such as the Gulbenkian Foundation, aims to strengthen the research and clinical capacity of health institutions in Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOP: Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, and Sao Tome and Principe). The initiative supports research centres within higher education institutions, fosters collaboration with health institutions, and provides training for health professionals and researchers. Key activities include calls for research projects, science management courses, and support for participation in international research networks and congresses. The program targets healthcare delivery improvement, capacity-building, and the advancement of clinical and translational research in the region.
