Supports strategic research projects in industrial and environmental biotechnology at Nordic academic institutions, aiming to address major challenges and promote sustainability and scalability.

--- ## Description This grant supports excellent research projects within industrial and environmental biotechnology, emphasizing fundamental research with a strategic focus on scalability, sustainability, and productivity. Projects should be based at universities or non-profit research institutions in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, or Sweden. Proposals must clearly involve biotechnology and may address topics such as engineering biological tools for synthesis/production, developing bioproduction technologies, improving biomanufacturing efficiency, environmental protection or improvement, ecosystem manipulation, or data science in biotechnology contexts.
