This opportunity provides funding for the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Formula Grant Program, combining FY 2025 and FY 2026 appropriations. The program supports the development and implementation of coordinated, comprehensive strategies to reduce violent crime. PSN brings together federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial law enforcement, prosecutors, community organizations, and other stakeholders to target criminal organizations, dangerous offenders, and threats to public safety—including those from transnational criminal organizations, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and violent criminal aliens. The program is a central part of the Department of Justice’s “Operation Take Back America” initiative, aiming to empower law enforcement and prosecutors to protect communities.
