PST ART: Art & Science Collide was a Getty Foundation initiative (2019–2025) that funded and coordinated a major region-wide exploration of the intersections between art and science. The program fostered civic dialogue on urgent contemporary issues—including climate literacy and sustainability—by supporting exhibitions, public programs, and educational resources. Over 45 cultural organizations across Southern California participated, resulting in 67 exhibitions, hundreds of public events, K–12 and higher education resources, and the first PST ART Climate Impact Program. The initiative emphasized collaboration between museums, educational institutions, and scientific partners, setting new benchmarks for sustainability in the museum field.
