Supports projects that strengthen U.S.-Cabo Verde relations through public diplomacy, cultural exchange, and initiatives aligned with U.S. foreign policy priorities.

All projects must include an American cultural element or U.S. institutional connection.

--- ## Description This program funds small-scale projects designed to strengthen ties between the United States and Cabo Verde. It supports initiatives that promote mutual understanding, foster collaboration, and advance U.S. foreign policy priorities such as economic growth, democratic governance, security cooperation, and cultural exchange. Successful proposals must incorporate an American cultural element, or involve American experts, organizations, or institutions, to increase understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives in Cabo Verde. --- ## Due Dates - Application deadline: July 31, 2025, 5:00 p.m. CVT *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - Award range: $2,000 to $10,000 per project - Estimated total program funding: $30,000 - Approximate number of awards: up to 10 - Project duration: 12 to 18 months --- ## Eligibility Eligible applicants include: - U.S. and Cabo Verdean not-for-profit organizations (including think tanks and NGOs) - Public and private educational institutions - Public international organizations and governmental institutions **Ineligible:** For-profit/commercial entities and individuals. Additional requirements: - Organizations must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and active registration in [SAM.gov](https://sam.gov/). - Only one proposal per organization is allowed.
