The Public Humanities Program Grants fund projects that preserve, promote, and share Florida’s history, literature, cultures, and personal stories, fostering opportunities for public reflection on history, heritage, and civic life. Supported formats include public lectures, discussion groups, exhibitions, oral history projects, films, media, living history presentations, and scholar-led tours. All projects must involve humanities scholarship and expertise, and collaboration with community partners is encouraged. Special interest is given to projects marking America's 250th anniversary, especially those highlighting diverse stories and cultural heritage.
