    Description

The New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), is issuing a Request for Letters of Interest (RLI) to support one of New Jersey’s three Recovery High Schools. The program aims to enhance student recovery outcomes by expanding intensive, varied recovery supports beyond traditional school hours and during the summer. It funds essential goods, services, and human resources tailored to the school’s campus and needs.

Supported work includes experiential and recreational activities, clinical services for substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders, motivational speakers, and recruitment at local high schools. Funds may also support vocational and core curriculum materials, job training, career guidance, post-secondary education information, and refreshments for student activities. The initiative is funded through the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) for New Jersey State Opioid Response.
