Description
The New Hampshire Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is a competitive, federally funded grant program administered by the NH Department of Natural & Cultural Resources, Bureau of Trails. The program supports the development, maintenance, and enhancement of public recreational trail infrastructure for both motorized and non-motorized uses. Eligible projects include trail maintenance/restoration, construction of new trails, development of trailside and trailhead facilities, acquisition/lease of trail construction equipment, and educational projects promoting trail safety and environmental stewardship. Funding is reimbursement-based, requiring applicants to incur costs up front and submit documentation for reimbursement.
