Summary: Supports translational research advancing regenerative medicine, with a focus on stem cell therapies, biomaterials, analytics, and clinical development.
Key Information: Two-phase application: concept note (Phase I) then full proposal (by invitation, Phase II).
This program provides catalytic funding to accelerate translational research in regenerative medicine, with the goal of moving promising discoveries towards clinical development. The focus is on high-impact projects that address major challenges in the field, particularly those advancing stem cell-based therapies. Four thematic research areas are prioritized: allogeneic cell therapy, analytical methods for stem cell validation, engineering biomaterials for therapy, and clinical development of cell therapies. Projects should have clear translational aims, propose new protocols or methods, and demonstrate the potential for significant long-term impact. The initiative is designed to strengthen the Nordic regenerative medicine ecosystem, promote international collaboration, and lower barriers to innovative therapies.
