Summary: Supports innovative research to advance understanding and treatment of Prader-Willi and Schaaf-Yang syndromes, with priority on genetics, neurobiology, clinical care, and therapeutic development.
The Foundation for Prader-Willi Research (FPWR) invites applications for research projects that advance the understanding and treatment of Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) and Schaaf-Yang syndrome (SYS). The program seeks to fund innovative, high-risk/high-reward projects, including both individual and multidisciplinary team approaches. Priority areas include the genetics of PWS, neurobiology of hunger and behavior, clinical care research, and the development of new genetic therapies, pharmaceuticals, or devices to alleviate symptoms associated with PWS and SYS. The grant aims to accelerate scientific progress and the development of effective therapies that improve the lives of individuals with these syndromes.
