This opportunity funds basic research projects at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) in scientific and engineering disciplines critical to national security. The program aims to enhance institutional research capacity, foster STEM education, and increase the number of STEM graduates at eligible institutions. Projects must align with the Department of Defense’s (DoD) research interests, especially in its critical technology areas, and are expected to engage students in research as part of institutional development.
