The Alaska Space Grant Program (ASGP) offers competitive research grants to graduate students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields enrolled at Alaskan institutions of higher education. These grants are designed to support research projects that align with NASA’s mission and vision, with a focus on strengthening the U.S. STEM workforce, fostering career development, and enhancing research infrastructure in Alaska. Preference is given to projects directly relevant to NASA’s interests. Awardees are required to work with a faculty mentor, submit a final report, present at the Alaska Space Grant/NASA EPSCoR Symposium, participate in longitudinal tracking, acknowledge program support in publications, and complete at least one outreach event.
