The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation's Research Grants program funds projects that deepen understanding of equitable economic mobility, address knowledge gaps, and translate research into practice. The Foundation seeks proposals that are rigorous, innovative, and well-aligned with the strategic priorities of college access and completion, workforce and career development, and entrepreneurship. While research does not have to be conducted in Kansas City, proposals must articulate how findings will generate insights applicable to the Kansas City region. The Foundation values methodological, geographical, and disciplinary diversity, including participatory and cross-disciplinary approaches, and prioritizes systems-level research over individual-level interventions.
