Summary: Supports interdisciplinary research to advance knowledge on women's health, focusing on menopausal disorders and health inequalities, aiming to improve equitable health services in Norway.
Key Information: Project Owner must be a Norwegian research organisation; at least two non-research Norwegian user partners required.
This grant supports research groups aiming to develop new knowledge about women's health across the life course, with a particular emphasis on menopausal disorders and health inequalities. The focus is on understanding biological, social, and work-related factors that affect women’s health and quality of life, especially transitional disorders. Projects are expected to strengthen the national knowledge base, improve the quality and equity of health services for women, and address health disparities, including those affecting Sámi people and national minorities. Research must be interdisciplinary, leverage Norwegian data sources (such as health registries and biobanks), and involve collaboration across medical, health, social sciences, and working life disciplines. Active involvement of end users and competence development in diverse environments are required.
