Description
The Urology Care Foundation Research Scholar Awards provide mentored research training to recruit outstanding young investigators into urologic research and foster their career success. Administered by the American Urological Association (AUA) Office of Research, the program supports clinical and postdoctoral fellows and early-career faculty through one- and two-year awards, with funding from the Foundation and partner organizations and sponsors.
The program supports research training across all urologic disease areas and research types, including basic, translational, clinical, and health services/outcomes research. It emphasizes scientific merit, committed mentorship, and the applicant’s potential to become a future research leader. Research addressing gaps identified in AUA clinical guidelines, minority health, and health disparities is encouraged; the listed guideline-related priorities do not automatically confer a competitive advantage.
