    Description

    This opportunity, issued by the FDA, aims to advance retail food safety and reduce foodborne illness by supporting national organizations or associations that represent state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) retail food regulatory programs or the retail food/foodservice industry. The program funds projects that develop and promote effective intervention strategies, risk-based inspection methods, adoption of the FDA Food Code, and improved outbreak response. It also encourages research, toolkits, and communication strategies to help regulatory agencies and industry implement best practices and achieve full conformance with the Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards (VNRFRPS).
