The Reviewer-in-Training (RIT) Program is designed to train and mentor individuals in the process of reviewing grant proposals, specifically to prepare them for participation in study sections across society, foundation, and government agencies (such as the National Institutes of Health). The program aims to promote inclusion and strengthen the field of interventional radiology by exposing participants to diverse perspectives. Selected participants, who must have previously received a SIR Foundation grant, commit to reviewing for two consecutive SIR Foundation Grant Review Study Sections and are paired with mentors to guide them through the review and evaluation process.
