This scheme is designed to foster the career development of promising doctoral graduates by supporting them with a full-time postdoctoral appointment at a UGC-funded university in Hong Kong. The fellowship aims to ensure a steady pipeline of skilled researchers contributing to Hong Kong’s research and development landscape. It covers all academic disciplines, grouped into two broad streams: (1) Humanities, Social Sciences, and Business Studies; and (2) Sciences, Medicine, Engineering, and Technology. Recipients are selected through a competitive process based on academic excellence, research ability, leadership, and the merit and potential impact of their proposed research.
